Suzy was born in September of 2011, to a first time mom who rejected her at birth. Although she didn't have any milk to offer, Lucy took over care for Suzy, and has "raised" her all by herself. Well, with a little help from us bottle feeding milk replacer for 3 months. Suzy took to Lucy and truly believes she is her momma. She still, at just over 1 year old, nurses off of Lucy, despite the fact that she is not getting any nourishment from her efforts! Suzy and Lucy are for sale. Suzannah is as sweet as they come, and just like her momma, she is bigger than her friends but doesn't realize it! Suzannah's dam, Annabelle, is our only unregistered "grade" donkey. She is half miniature and half standard and stands at 42". Suzannah will likely mature in the 37" - 39" range, being 3/4 miniature. Because she is not 100% miniature, she will not be registered. Suzannah has the personality of a golden retriever, and just loves attention. She does enjoy being with other donkeys but would also make a nice companion for a laid back pony or small horse. We don't often "approve" of letting one of our donkeys go to a home without other donkeys, but in this case it would probably work. Suzannah will mature to the perfect height to pull a cart or to give small children rides around the yard. She is ready for her new forever home anytime! Shelby is a nice little package of everything we like in our donkeys. She is overly friendly, has a nice square build, good conformation, and a nice pedigree behind her. We are offering Shelby either alone when she is weaned in November, or now with her mother, Torrie. What a gorgeous girl! Shawna is the most beautiful black and is built like a little tank underneath all of that color. She's got a nice wide set chest, square frame and perfect little back legs. She is the best of our 2011 foals so far this year for having the whole package -- color, conformation, size, pedigree. Shawna would make an awesome show donkey and future brood jennet for someone wanting to add more black to their herd. Her sire is a beautiful tyger spot and her maternal grandmother is a spot, so you could breed her to a spot when she matures and hope for a nice dark spotted baby! Our second foal of the year, and another small package from two small parents. Samuel should mature in the 32" range, with mom and dad being 32½". I am so tempted to keep this little one as a future herdsire, but it would do me very little good since we have kept too many of Buddy's daughters in our herd that we would be unable to breed Samuel to. Samuel is the entire package. He's got the small size, wonderful build, personality on top of personality, and, of course, the color. His maternal grand-sire is Cisco & Sons Little Tyke, a 30" brown jack. His paternal grandsire is Lawzyday Farms Cherokee, a 29" red jack. Samuel seems to have what it takes to hopefully one day produce small, correct, and colorful foals. He is just absolutely perfect!

Sadie is a gorgeous dark red jennet foal with an awesome build. She is square and straight, and is just a beauty to watch. Her parents are 32" and 32½" and they both have many small reds in their backgrounds. I would expect her to mature into the same 32" size range. She is in the process of being microchipped and registered. Sadie is reluctantly offered for sale at this time as we are trying wholeheartedly to reduce our herd size in half this summer.
