      Grand Dam:  D.W.E. Lena, 33" Gray-Dun

Izzy is a gorgeous charcoal gray, sometimes brown jennet who we are happy to have retained in our herd. She started off as a deep, dark brown, but it seems as though now most of the time she is a deep, dark gray. In some light though, she is brown. Whatever the color, she is one of the stockiest donkeys we own, built like a little tank with the widest chest and thickest legs I think I've ever seen. On top of all that, she is friendly and fun to be around. We are pround Izzabelle calls Shorecrest Farms her home!

DOB 9/25/08

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Sorrel
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Sorrel

      Grand Dam:  SNS Coco, Brown

Well, there is a story behind little Percy's unique name. When Percy was born, his mother had no milk. Percy was energetic from the get-go, but was so tiny, and would nurse and nurse, but we were concerned those first few hours because there was no milk bag. Worried about a lack of colostrum, we started calling everyone we could think of looking for equine colostrum. Finally, our vet came through and located some frozen Percheron mare milk. Yup -- this little guy got his first boost in life from a gigantic work horse mare!

The "fool" part of his name.. well, we diligently kept up per the vets instructions with the donated colostrum, despite the fact that litle Percy seemed full and didn't want it at all. He kept looking at us like we were darn fools! Somehow, although his mom didn't appear to have any milk, she must have released just enough for him and he most likely didn't need the donated colostrum at all. A few days after his birth, she was producing a normal, full milk bag.

Percy has been going strong ever since and is now looking for his new forever home. He would pair up nicely with our other jack foal, J.T. Both are characters, and would bring a ton of happiness to your family. Percy can be weaned at the end of January and delivery is available if needed. Percy is for sale. Gray Jennet
DOB 8/21/08
Birth Height: 20½"

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Sorrel
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Sorrel
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Sorrel

Dam:  KWA Faunas Peep, 32" Brown/Gray
Grand Sire:  Bonnie's Woody, 33" Dark Gray
Grand Dam:  KWA Faunas Bo, 33" Brown

This little girl reminds you of a tiny porcelain doll. She is so very little we decided to name her in honor of my 4 foot 10 inch mom, "Carol"! Don't worry, my mom is honored to have this little donkey be her namesake! Caroline is a perfect little package -- great pedigree, awesome square build, and the classic gray color that we find many of our customers prefer because, they say, when they imagine having a little donkey, gray is what they think of!

Caroline should mature on the tiny side, around 32", if even that. Her dam, Peep, is one of our best producers and happens to be the eldest donkey in our herd. She happens to be a Charlie Bandito grand-daughter. We've kept Peep around for a reason, and little Caroline is the perfect example of why. She would be a good pick to add a little gray back into your brood band, or if you are looking to add some red lines that Caroline brings to the table through her sire's side -- a little Lawzyday Cherokee & Sugar Daddy, mixed with LCR Valintino 50 and even LN Redsonnehi. Caroline is a wonderful example of some of those old favorite tried and true bloodlines brought together in one tiny package. She will be registered prior to leaving our farm and will be available to go to her new home around Christmas time -- unless I decide to keep her, which I may do since Peep is getting up there in breeding age and all of her daughters we've had in the past have sold before weaning age. Grab her while you can! Caroline is for sale! Visit our 'for sale' page for more information!

Red Jack
DOB 8/18/08
Birth Height: 21½"

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Sorrel
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Sorrel
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Sorrel

Dam:  Windswept Farm Red Jetta, 33½" Red
Grand Sire:   LN Red Sonfire, 31½" Dark Red
Grand Dam:  LN Jetta Jo, 33.75" Dark Brown w/NLP

If you are looking for a donkey with tons of personality, you've found him! Don't let his name fool you, he's really not any trouble, just very "look-at-me" and loves being the first in line for everything. I expect J.T. to mature to about 34". He is a very thick foal, is very wide set, has a gorgeous red coat and just has a unique presence about him. He has a ton of reputable red ancestors throughout his pedigree from LN Redsonnehi to Valintino 50. J.T. will be registered and can be weaned in mid-December, just in time to go to his new home right before Christmas. A deposit will hold him for the right home. Trouble is for sale! Visit out 'for sale' page for more information.

Black Jennet w/NLP
DOB 7/14/08
Birth Height: 20½"

Sire:  Wit's End Tyger Heart, 33½" Dark Spotted
Grand Sire:  Sunset Acres Speedway Racer, 31½" Black/Brown w/NLP
Grand Dam:  Windcrest Noelle, 32½" Brown/White Spot

Dam:  Shorecrest's Kandace, 31¼" Black w/red highlights
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Red
Grand Dam:  Gladybrooke Ms. Ditto, 33½" Dark Brown/White Spot

We thought Tyger had outdone himself with his last daughter, Cynders, until this little bouncing bundle of fur came along! Rayzen is spectacular. She is so very tiny and yet has a perfect square build and awesome conformation just like her mom. Rayzen is Kandace's first foal and we are so excited to see the quality of foals we can expect from her in the future. We will be pairing Kandace up with Tyger again for an encore to be sure!

Rayzen is too cute, her photos don't do her justice. She doesn't have a speck of white on her except for a bit in her ears. I do think she has a visible cross, it is just difficult to detect at this point. Rayzen boasts a jam packed full pedigree, with notables including My World, Sunset Acres and Circle C Motown coming in through her sire and Lawzyday Cherokee, LN Redsonnehi, and LCR Valintino 50 just to name a few from her dam. Tiny sizes (all the way down to 29" Gladybrooke Skip) mixed with a rainbow of colors from spots to reds to grays, browns and blacks, make Rayzen's history as interesting as she is.

As with Cynders, I'm not guaranteeing Rayzen will stay on our for sale page for long. She is definately a top pick to stay on here with us, but with 4 more foals due this year, we are waiting before making a final decision. Visit our 'for sale' page for more photos and information!

Dark Brown/Bray Jennet w/Dark Nose
DOB 7/10/08

Sire:  Wit's End Tyger Heart, 33½" Dark Spotted
Grand Sire:  Sunset Acres Speedway Racer, 31½" Black/Brown w/NLP
Grand Dam:  Windcrest Noelle, 32½" Brown/White Spot

Dam:  Shorecrest's Molly Brown, 33" Dark Brown
Grand Sire:  Heartland Acres Gus, 31" Black
Grand Dam:  Orchard Farm Anita, 32½" Dark Brown

Wow! This perfect little jennet is Molly's second foal, and is only Tyger's 5th. This was a combination we will definately repeat! Cynders is just plain awesome, for lack of a better description! I can't find a thing I would improve on her, from her conformation, build, color, pedigree, right down to her climb-in-your-lap personality.

Through her sire, Cynders has notable bloodlines including the likes of Sunset Acres Speedway Racer, My World Buster and even Circle C Little Motown (her great-great grandsire!). Cynders also boasts a full pedigree top and bottom on her dam's side going back to the imports. She will make a fantastic brood jennet one day, no doubt! Cynders is one of our best so far this year (and one of our favorites!!) and likely will wind up staying here as one of our own unless someone claims her quickly before we've made our final decision! Dark Brown/Black w/Red Highlight Jennet
DOB 6/24/08

Sire:  Wit's End Tyger Heart, 33½" Dark Spotted
Grand Sire:  Sunset Acres Speedway Racer, 31½" Black/Brown w/NLP
Grand Dam:  Windcrest Noelle, 32½" Brown/White Spot

Dam:  Shorecrest's Kandi Kisses, 32.75" Dark Red w/Star
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Dark Red
Grand Dam:  Gladybrook Ms. Ditto, 33½" Dark Brown/White Spot

This little girl is Tyger's first daughter, and wow, is she ever nice! She is built solid, with a nice wide chest, short back and round rear. The best way to describe her is "thick". Katie has a lot of red highlighting especially around her face. She was black at birth so I'm not sure if she will shed out black or deep dark brown as she matures, but either way, she is gorgeous. Katie's older sister, Kandace, was retained in our herd and the two are almost carbon copies of one another. Kandace has exceeded our expectations, and we have no doubt little Katie will do the same.

Katie has ancestry that speaks for itself with LN, Lawzyday, My World, and Sunset Acres bloodlines dominating her full pedigree. There is really not much to improve on with this foal! It's awful tempting to keep her, but we have had 9 jennet foals born so far this year and only 2 jacks, so we are offering every foal for sale, even our favorites, as we try to decide which are our top picks to possibly retain in our herd! DOB 6/23/08

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Red
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Red
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Red

Dam:  Boone's Little Betty Jane, 31" Gray/White Spot
Grand Sire:  Boone's Mr. Spotted Donk, 35" Brown/White Spot
Grand Dam:  Boone's Little Rosealeta, 32½" Red (Sorrel)

Sometimes naming foals can get a bit challenging, but little Jodie's name came about very easily. She was born on my husband's birthday, and his name is Joe... last name starts with a D... so, "Jodie" just seemed fitting! This little girl is very sweet and should remain quite small. She has a nice build and great pedigree behind her especially on her sire's side which is loaded with reds and small sizes. Come see her in person, we think you will like her just as much as we do! Visit our 'for sale' page for more information.

Gray & White Spotted Jennet
DOB 5/27/08

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Red
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Red
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Red

Dam:  Windcrest Miss Betsy, 33" Gray/White Spot
Grand Sire:  Boone's Marble Fudge, 34" Brown/White Spot
      Grand Dam:  McDonald's McBubbles, 32" Gray/White Spot

Our first spotted foal of the year, and boy is she a pretty one! At first glance my 5 year old daughter said "We should call her Princess!", and so we did. Pryncess has beautiful markings, and her build is just as nice. Her full sister from 2006, Gypsy, has been maturing above our expectations, and her half sister, Baby, cannot be faulted in any way. We anticipate Pryncess doing the same following in both sister's hoofprints. She will be an asset to any brood band and should top out no bigger than 33". Pryncess is another foal in the running to possibly stay here as a future brood jennet. Betsy's foal are always so perfect, they are hard to part with! Visit our 'for sale' page for more information.

Congratulations to

Dark Brown Jennet
DOB 5/21/08

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Sorrel
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Sorrel
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Sorrel

Dam:  PMF's Barbara, 32¼" Dark Brown
Grand Sire:  Dino of Pygmy Acres, 30" Brown
Grand Dam:  PMF's Latasha, 34½" Spotted

Bekkah is a gorgeous little girl, from head to tail. She's a rich, chocolate brown and is as square as can be. I expect her to mature to 32-33". Based on Barbara and Buddy's previous foals, Bekkah should mature to be a stocky, very correct jennet. She will fit nicely into anyone's herd and future brood band. Bekkah is another contender to possibly remain in our herd if we decide to keep any of this year's jennet foals. We think she is just about perfect. Visit our 'for sale' page for more photos and information.

Dam:  LDF Lucinda Marie, 32" Gray
Grand Sire:   M&M Macho Man, 33" Spotted
Grand Dam:  WC Cleopatra, 34" Black/Brown

If this little girl had been born closer to the 4th of July, I'd have named her Firecracker! She's got lots of spunk and character and is already an 'in your pocket' baby. Konnie has a nice background with mostly M&M breeding on her dam's side, and Lawzyday breeding on her sire's. She is only 1 week old in these photos and has lots of filling out to do. Both mom and dad are very stocky, and I expect Konnie to follow suit. She should mature around 32" and will make a sweet pet or future brood jennet for someone. Konnie will be registered prior to leaving our farm. Visit our 'for sale' page for more photos and information.

Dewey is a sweet, sweet foal who will make the perfect pet for someone. He should mature out to around 34" or so, making him an ideal candidate as a cart donkey. Dewey is very gentle natured and adores attention. He will be registered prior to leaving our farm and is looking for a loving home having at least one other donkey companion. Dewey is only our second jack foal of the year, so if you are looking for a pet, come meet him in person and put your deposit down to hold him until weaning. Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Red
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Red
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Red

Dam:  KiTerra's Little Lacy, 33" Gray
Grand Sire:  Mack Henry Toby, 33½" Red-Roan
Grand Dam:  Mack Henry Little Cindi, 32" Gray-Dun

Little Sara is a gorgeous light pink/red jennet foal. She has a nice pedigree behind her, on both top and bottom, including Fisher's breeding on her dam's side. Fisher's Ghost is Sara's great grandsire through her dam and Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee is her grandsire through her sire. Sara has a wealth of small sizes and reds in her background and should mature out to 32" - 33". She is put together very nicely and will be an asset to any breeding program as she matures. Sara is one of our favorites this season to date and will be in the running if we decide to keep one or two of this year's jennet foals. Visit our 'for sale' page for more information.

Grand Dam:  Windcrest Noelle, 32½" Brown/White Spot

Dam:  Half Ass Acres Shania Twain, 34" Gray/White Spot
Grand Sire:  Fisher's Great Gildersleeve, 32¼" Tri-Colored Spot
Grand Dam:  Half Ass Acres Jody, 32½" Light Brown/Gray/White Spot

Well, when we bred Shania (spotted) to Tyger (spotted) last year, we were kind of expecting, well, spots! Especially when considering their colorful ancestry. Little Noah decided to come out all solid gray to surprise us instead. He is cute as a button, just look at that face! I think his muzzle may go black. He started out with more white on his nose and it seems to be gradually disappearing. Since Noah's grandfather Racer has NLP, that is certainly a possibility. Noah should mature to around 33-34" and will make a perfect companion or cart donkey. He can be weaned the end of June and is looking to reserve a new home now! As with all of our donkeys, Noah will be registered and will only be placed in a loving new home having at least one other donkey as a friend. Visit our 'for sale' page for more information!

"Shorecrests Adora"
aka "Addy"
Shorecrests Adora, aka Addy

(Click photos to enlarge)

Very Light Red Jennet
DOB 1/06/08
Birth Height: 20"

Sire:  Shorecrests Little Buddy, 32½" Light Red
Grand Sire:  Lawzyday Farm's Cherokee, 29½" Red
Grand Dam:  Springlake Rosebud, 33" Light Red

Dam:  Shorecrests Adorable, 31½" Gray
Grand Sire:  Shorecrets Little Buddy, 32½" Light Red
Grand Dam:  Hickory Hills Jessica, 32" Gray

This little girl is Dora's first foal. We had thought she was going to be gray like her mom, but she is actually a very light red. When Addy stands alongside our gray donkeys, she stands out with her red tone. We think she will mature nice and tiny, most likely anywhere from 30-32" at most. Addy has been spoiled since day one. She was born in extremely cold weather and things were very touch and go in the first 12 hours of her life. We had to bring the pair into our heated garage for warmth, dry her with a hair dryer and we bottle fed Addy with colustrum milked from Dora for the first 6 hours or so because Addy did not have the stength to stand on her own. Addy took her first steps at about 6 hours of age, and has been going strong ever since! She is a bundle of energy and has that signature overly friendly personality you will find in most all of our foals. Addy can be weaned in May or June and will be registered through the miniature donkey registry in Texas prior to leaving our farm. As with all of our donkeys, Addy must go to a new home having at least one other donkey waiting upon her arrival as her pasture mate. Visit our 'for sale' page for more information.
